My Husband is Peter Pan.

As my husband and I tackle this Clomid journey, we have started to dream and plan what it would be like to have a successful pregnancy. To better understand how this is going I want to introduce you to my husband, Christopher.

To give you a brief introduction about my hubby...

I have always said he's like Peter Pan. He exudes boyish charm and love of life, always full of energy when around others, sees everything as an adventure, and has a penchant for the magical/mystical/sensational. He's the life of the party type when he feels comfortable. He often has not filter on his conversation just like Peter saying, "Girls talk too much." Honest, but too forward. You can forget about bed at a normal hour if he's having fun doing something. You should see this man near Christmas time! He listens to Christmas music all year round. He lives in a perpetual state of Christmas spirit. When I get stuck in my head, deeply pensive, he does something to completely crack me up!

I'm an avid Pinterest pinner. My husband joined, and we love to send each other ideas. ( I knew he would come around eventually) I saw a Peter Pan nursery one day on there, but didn't say a word to him about it. Then, a few days later he said he saw it and loved it. I was so excited! This gave me some hope that we were going to be pregnant eventually. (small things, right?)

Until the day we get to hear a heartbeat or get a sign of relief by our doctor saying all is well, we are privately planning and pinning. It's a secret board that we will share one day with the world, but until then it reminds me of this scripture:

"But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart." (Luke 2:19)

Until that great day, after our joy and waiting, we will share with the world all that we've been pondering in our hearts. You now know we love Peter Pan, and that it'll be creative. (My husband actually agreed to be Peter Pan for our daughter (tights and all) if we have a girl. Made me tear up.)

My husband is Peter Pan. He thinks many common sense things are silly. He's willing to dream and plan about future things that are hoped for but not certain. He is great at happy thoughts, and imagination.

I'm so glad he can make this "grown up" find her inner child again.

"“The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it.”
J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
